Ever Had a Bad Experience With...

Everyone has had a bad experience with a car brand, restaurant, home builder, retail store, grocery store etc...and what did you do about it?

A few years back I was out at an Earls restaurant having super with my son and 'then' father-in-law. We all ordered coffee to start, then ordered our meals. Our coffee came and we all started to enjoy it, we were all big coffee drinkers. No sooner had I finished my first cup, and I could feel that tingling sensation of an oncoming cold sore...anyone who has had one, or gets cold sores knows that feeling...

By the time we finished our meals, and payed our bill, not only did I have a cold sore, my son had one...and my 'then' father-in-law had one as well. There was something very disturbing about that fact.

We knew that it was likely from the coffee, most likely the cup. Not cleaned properly, or maybe from someone in the kitchen that had the virus, touched our cups.

A couple days later I went back to the restaurant and had a talk with the manager. He was somewhat taken aback when I explained the situation. Basically telling me that 'it was not possible that we encountered the virus at his establishment'...wouldn't bend a bit on that conclusion. I left even more distraught and disappointed then when I arrived.

Needless to say, I have NEVER been back to that Earls restaurant again, or any Earls for that matter...and NEVER will.

How many people do you think I told about that crazy ordeal? Yep, everyone I knew! How much business do you think they lost? Well, unfortunately, probably not enough for them to notice...but they did lose some for sure.

If you treated your online customers like they don't really matter, or discredit an issue they have, with no reasonable explanation, how long would you be in business?

The answer shouldn't really surprise you. With the speed of the Internet and the modern technology out their today, it would take mere minutes to spread the word of the sour taste left by you and your business. With email, blogs, instant messaging, text messaging, cell phones etc...your name would be MUD before you knew what hit you.

Treat every customer, no matter how big or small, with the respect and courtesy that you, yourself, would want. And remember, 1 or 2 disgruntled customers in the online biz world could seriously damage or flat out ruin your name and your business with a few strokes of the keyboard in a matter of minutes!

Leave me a comment and share your own bad encounter, how you felt and were dealt with, and what the end results were.

Sales Letter Secrets From The Man
Who Sold Coal By The Train Carload

By Yanik Silver
=======================================

If you were to ask any of the top copywriting pros who they've
learned from - one name is sure to be repeated over and over
again -- Robert Collier.

In the 1930s, Robert Collier was able to sell just about
everything from train carloads of coal to men's clothing
simply by using the power of his pen. And right now I'm going
to share with you 2 of the most powerful letter concepts he
repeatedly used to sell millions!

One of Collier's most successful letters was his "will you do
me a favor?" letter. It was based on a story he read about
how a manager of a company asked a competing business for a
favor, which started a relationship that blossomed into the
two companies joining together.

Collier thought this same idea might work in print...and
boy did it ever!

Here's how he used this concept to sell 20,000 raincoats at
a time (and over a dozen other products). This letter is
really universal in its application, so study it carefully:

* * *
Dear Customer,

Will you do me a favor?

For twelve years now, you know, we have been selling the
famous "Keepdry" Coat direct to the consumer, at a savings
of many dollars from the usual retail price.

This year I want to vary our line a bit, so I have changed
the fabric to one that looks like a smart topcoat -- but
will still shed rain. And instead of the usual double-breasted
raincoat model, I'm using a single-breasted topcoat model
that appeals to men because it has style, and yet retains
that loose, comfortable look of the well-tailored light
overcoat.

I believe that anyone who ever gets out in stormy or wet
weather will like this "Any Weather" Coat better than any
raincoat or topcoat he can buy, but you know how it is in
merchandising -- you can never be sure of such things until
after you have sunk a lot of money in them.

Which brings me to the favor:

I want to make sure of the demand -- or lack of demand --
before we sink too much money in this new coat. So I've come
to you as a customer of the house:

Will you try out one of these new "Any Weather" Topcoats
for me for a week -- WEAR IT -- see how it feels, how it
looks, how it compares with topcoats you have bought at $25
or $30? Above all, how it keeps out wind and rain? And then
write me?

---sidebar---
Letter goes on to explain features and benefits of the
new coat with a special introductory price for
customers only.
-------------

Naturally, I am not making offers like this to everyone, so
whether you accept it or not, I should feel obliged if you
would return the card so as to insure against its falling
into other hands.

Naturally, too, your opinion will be of value to me only if
I get it n.o.w. -- before the Fall season has really opened --
before we are definitely committed for any great quantity of
these new all-weather coats.

Won't you, therefore, fill in the three simple measurements
on the card TONIGHT if you can, and mail it? On second
thought, better mail it right away -- while you have it in
your hand -- so there will be no chance of forgetting it.

* * *

You should notice the subtle psychology used here. People love
giving opinions and helping, so by asking, you make people
feel important.

Boardroom reports, one of the top direct marketing companies
in the country, (the people who write Bottom Line Business,
Bottom Line Personal, and Bottom Line Health) are using this
technique for two different offers (which means it's working
very well). Here's the opening to a recent letter I received:

* * *

Our records show that you're one of our best customers, and
that's why I'm writing.

Frankly, I need you help.

I'm asking you to take part in a little marketing trial I've
put together. Our company has a lot riding on the outcome,
so I'm really hoping you'll participate.

If you do, I'll send you one of the most valuable gifts we've
ever given away. It's our giant new, 51,000-word book, the
"DOCTOR'S LITTLE BLACK BAG OF REMEDIES AND CURES, Vol. I."

I'll explain our marketing trial in a moment...and why your
"verdict" is so important to us. But first, let me tell you
about the special free gift you'll receive just for taking
part.

---sidebar---
Letter continues by explaining the free gift and goes on to
explain how the fairest, most honest way to introduce new
products is through sampling.
-------------

* * *

That's pretty powerful stuff, eh?

Moving on to the second letter opening Collier found to be
magical. Here are a few examples:

==========================================================
"With your permission, I am going to send you FREE a new,
self-filling black beauty fountain pen-pencil, with your
name stamped upon it in 24 carat solid gold leaf."
==========================================================

Or...

==========================================================
"With your permission I am going to make an analysis of
the soil of your lawn to determine -- at my own risk and
expense -- what elements are lacking in it, what you need
for stronger, healthier, more closely grown turf." ==========================================================

These openings were used over and over again by Collier
because they worked. And they still work just as well today
-- here's how a recent mailing from Rodale press started
(mind you this is the control for the last 3 years -- not
an easy task when you mail millions):

* * *

I am going to send you one of the most important and exciting
books every released by an American publisher.

---Cut---
> letter continues.

* * *

Now both these letter concepts are incredibly powerful and
they've been proven to work for the last 70 years. (And my
bet is they'll continue working for at least 70 more!) So
what are you waiting for? Start putting these techniques to
work right away in your business.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir?

WOW...I'm sitting here, flipping through the channels, and I come across Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir special (not my normal programs I usually watch) and what a production. There must be over 500 members of the choir, the orchestra and the rest. I wondering how long it would have taken to set that whole production up?

But it really doesn't matter if it took 6 months to set it all up, which it could of, because the fact is that the end result is simply amazing. I'm also thinking that they didn't just drop all the stuff off, the instruments, chairs, stands, audio and the rest...then just start setting it up anywhere.

In order to get the same result, near perfection every time, they would have the set up and the running of the entire production, from start to finish, blueprinted in a carefully organized plan of action. If it took 6 months to get to their end result, then they knew exactly how much work had to be done each...and everyday!

But the beauty is that once they had their blueprint, the system set up and running, it probably seemed like it just ran itself. And of course over time they would have tweaked things here and there, all for a better end result.

Same holds true for most things including your business. But the nice thing is that once you've built one successful online business, it gets easier and faster to build your next one, and next one and so on....And the nice thing with the online business, once you build one, they can run on virtual autopilot, 24/7/365.

Find someone who is where you want to be, and copy what they did to get there. Then do it over and over and over. Work from a proven system and take consistent daily actions.

Don't over complicate things when you don't have to. Anything worth building is worth doing right the first time...and there's no better or easier way then to follow someone who has done it before.

Four Easy Ways to Get Free Marketing for Your Information Products

Some people considering how to profit from selling information products online may be intimidated at the thought of spending hundreds, or even thousands of dollars on an advertising budget to garner high doses of traffic to their domain.

But selling information products doesn’t mean you have to spend a penny on promotions, if you don’t want to. There are four fast and easy ways to market your wares on the ‘net for absolutely nothing.

Traditionally, in the offline world, whenever a company or business needs to get the word out about their product launch, they use a press release to distribute to the media. You can do the same thing for your information product by going to a site like http://www.free-press-release.com/, where you can submit free press releases that online media outlets will be able to view and publish.

Make sure that your press release is newsworthy and not similar to your online hyped-up sales copy. You can get more traffic delivered to your information product site by genuinely conveying the benefits of the item without it sounding like it was written by a used car salesman.

Another free option for you traffic needs is to utilize the article directories on the ‘net. There are two big ones: www.EzineArticles.com and www.GoArticles.com and both allow you to submit free articles that other site owners and publishers can pick up and use as their own. The only catch is, they have to keep your hyperlinks and Bio Box intact, so your readers can click through and land on your information product pages

One of the best ways to leverage the power of the World Wide Web is to immerse yourself in what web 2.0 is all about – social networking. You can participate in online forums and groups and with every post you make, drive customers to your site using a hyperlink in your signature file.

DO NOT use these social sites to direct sell your products or services. Treat them like you’re at a party, making friends and developing relationships. Only then will you be using social sites properly, and getting the best return on time invested.

You can even cloak your links to see which forums are generating more visitors to your domain and even which threads within each forum got a better response! Cloaking software is generally inexpensive but can help you profit from your information products because it eliminates the guesswork.

A powerful method to get free traffic to your information product is by creating a viral freebie that others can pass along over the ‘net. You can write a short five-page report for your niche, fill it with hyperlinks back to your information product site, and set it loose with free distribution rights to it. Although you’re giving something away for nothing, chances are you’ll see many visitors flooding to your site if your freebie is able to piqué their curiosity.

Those are some of the best ways to promote your business with little or no cost to you. And when you start using articles, blogs, social site etc…you will develop your reputation as an expert in your field. Then the never ending supply of quality leads and traffic will be coming in for ever…and you didn’t spend a dime doing it.

How To Find Your Entrepreneur Opportunities

Money is really hard to find these days especially if you're lazy. Entrepreneurs on the other hand are hard working and dedicated individuals. Once they set their minds to a certain business endeavor, they will surely find ways to make it successful. There are so many entrepreneur opportunities that you can find. All it takes is some research.

Many people think that putting up a business requires huge capital. When making a business investment, it is very important to have an ample amount of funds. Businesses starting from scratch will definitely need huge financial investments. But did you know that you can find entrepreneur business opportunities that require smaller amounts of investments?

Yes, that's true. If you search diligently, you can find low cost entrepreneur opportunities that yield high returns. You will not find it hard to conduct your research because you can do it online. The internet provides a lot of resources that you can make use. In fact, by devoting your time to research, you can find several great low cost entrepreneur opportunities.

While doing your research, take note of the ones that caught your interest. You can make a comprehensive list so that when it's time to choose, you will be able to choose the best opportunity that can work for you and meet your needs.

Thorough research is required especially on the onset of your search. This is needed so that you will not miss out any opportunity that may turn out to be a good business venture.

Once you have the list, it's now time to ask some questions to yourself. Here are some of the questions that you should look into:

1. Which do you prefer – an online business or a business that you can deal with customers personally?

2. Where are you going to concentrate – services or products?

3. Where will you get the capital funds? How much do you need?

4. Will you look for venture capitalists?

5. What problems are people searching for in your niche market/?

6. Can you solve those problems & how many people are searching for answers?

These are just some of the important questions that you need to answer. After you've answered the questions, you may now be able to choose one particular business venture. Even if the business opportunity is simply low cost, with hard work and dedication, you can earn high returns in the near future especially if the business proves to be a success and it is extremely in-demand in the market.

With the right knowledge and proper motivation, you can achieve financial success as soon as possible. Focus on your goals and objectives. Don’t hesitate to learn more knowledge about being an entrepreneur. You should handle your responsibilities well, from planning, organizing, staffing, to controlling.

**Don't think you have to wait until you know everything about everything about your business. Take action ASAP...after the proper research is done**

You must also have the right attitude towards the business. Most entrepreneurs are thinkers, risk-takers, confident, and full of self determination. The business arena is full of challenges and problems. Don’t get easily discouraged when you're facing a certain dilemma. You should always remain focused in all your actions and decisions.

Start looking for the perfect low cost entrepreneur opportunities. Simply log on to the internet and you can find all the needed information resources, more than you can ever imagine. Dare to take risks especially for your business venture especially if the risk involved will help in making your business a success.

Have the right attitude and outlook in life and you will always stay in the peak of success.

Don't Make This Mistake on Social Networking Sites

Most people have no idea about the proper way to use all the social networks out there. Facebook, MySpace, YouTube etc...are not the places to go to try and sell your products or services.

In this video,Perry Belcher tells you what the social networks are all about. He explains things in a very simple way for you to understand.

Social networks allow you to connect with thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of people, not all will be interested in what you do or sell, but chances are they will come across some of their friends who are. By building a friendship with these people, they will recommend you to their friends who are looking for what you have to offer.

Check out the short video...if you understand how to use social networks, the way they were designed, you're way ahead of the rest of the people that are just trying to sell, sell, sell.

You think you got it bad? Take a look at this video, and you may change your tune a little. I've seen other clips and programs involving this gentlemen, and all very inspiring... to the 10th degree!

Web videos are the hottest thing on the 'net today. But outsourcing the process can be extremely costly. As well, taking a course at you local community or business college is both time consuming and costly.

Well now you can learn, with easy video tutorials, in the comfort of your home anytime you choose, with out having to spend a fortune. Also with email access, it's like having your very own personal teacher, their when you need them.

Web Video University is a 4 week course created and taught by Dave Kiminski. Dave is a true professional, generating millions of dollars in sales for himself, as well as his customers. Perry Marshalls Greed?

Perry's Greed

An email from Perry Marshall...

Recently I spoke at an event where numerous people asked me to meet with them, have lunch, etc. I responded: Sorry, no free lunch meetings - if you want to meet with me you need to pay my hourly fee.

I mentioned this in an email and got this reply from Dennis:
=====================================================================================

Perry

I love your stuff, you are obviously a very talented online marketer. In addition I bet your a good person, I don't know but I get the feeling you are. However one thing really bothered me that you said in your newsletter dated Tuesday October 28th.

As far as I can deduct you where part of a program that went late into the night that people paid for and after it was over several people wanted to take you to lunch etc, to pick your brain. You response was sure, just pay me my hourly rate. Now I'm all for people getting paid for there time, God knows if you say high to a lawyer your going to get a bill. Wlth that in mind there is such a thing as going to far. It's called GREED. It's what the me generation did to this countries economy today. It's the reason our economy is in such a mess.

I have been here for 58 years and have met many successful people, everyone of these people that I have asked to take to lunch and chat never charged me a dime. And myself being a very successful sales person earning over $100 K per year since 1974 have always given freely to others who asked. My opinion regaring your reponse to a request to do lunch was not being a smart business person, it was greed with a capital G. Come on, lets get real here if this kind of greed does not stop this country is headed for the dumpster.

Can you imagagine having to pay everyone who you asked for advice ? Why not put a hold on the greed and give a little back without getting paid for it. Even the blood sucking lawyers do probono work, even high priced doctors volunteer there skill to help people who can't afford medical care. Even old John D Rockefeller realised his greed and started giving his money away. Then theres Perry Marshall he won't go to lunch with eager students and share his knowledge without getting paid. You can rationalize all you want, but your response was arrogant and greedy. Let me summarise, what you did was Bull Shit.

Dennis
=====================================================================================

This was my reply to Dennis:

Dennis,

Thanks for your note and I can appreciate how my comment made you feel. Yes if someone told me 20 years ago I'd be charging people $700 for lunch and turning away people asking for help, I might have felt the same way as you. As you wrote your email I think you felt more and more angry about it all the time.

My wife read your email and said, "Perry, this guy apparently doesn't know how many people want to take you to lunch."

Dennis, I have over 100,000 people on my email list. You have no idea how many people email my office and ask questions - hundreds and hundreds every month. I could EASILY spend all day dispensing free advice. The demand for it it ENDLESS. I could spend every single breakfast, lunch and dinner time slot dispensing free advice and the line would never stop.

At the meeting, had I responded to all those requests I would've been out to lunch every day this week dispensing free advice. Remember: I'm not a salesman. I'm a consultant. Advice, not widgets, is what I sell. When you were a salesman you didn't give away your goods for free and you didn't feel guilty if they expected you to and you wouldn't feel guilty for saying no.

There are several reasons why I don't dispense free advice:

-It would be unfair to those who pay for it, and there are many who do

-People almost NEVER act on free advice, especially if it requires them to do something uncomfortable - so what's the point in dispensing it?

-If people want free information there are hundreds of pages of free articles and MP3's on my website and it's good stuff

-If I gave away my knowledge I would not be able to be generous to those who truly are in need.

You accuse me of being greedy and not being generous. You do not know that. You do not know me at all. You have no business making such judgments. You do not know how many people and/or organizations I DO give free advice to. You do not know who or what I give my money to and it's none of your business anyway.

Just know this: If I gave away free advice I would have no money to give to AIDS orphans in Africa.

So given that I have people lined up to pay me money (for example if you want a 1 day consultation it has to be booked 1-3 months in advance; phone consults are booked 2-4 weeks in advance) why should I allow people to cut in line and pay nothing?

Would that be right?

Finally, most of the questions people would ask me are already answered on my website or in my products. Most of the business ideas people pitch me with are a waste of time. People who have not read my books or website first usually wouldn't understand the answer if I gave it to them.

I am known all around the world for my expertise and my time is valuable. I am a STEWARD of my time and I am responsible before God for how I use it. To give it away indiscriminately would be irresponsible and wasteful.

I will give my time to people who earn it and that is why I am then able to be generous with people who need it. Hungry children in Africa need help more than well-fed Americans who are trying to solve their business problems. If they want free advice, they can ask someone else.

When people pay for my time, they get value. In life you usually get what you pay for, and when you pay me $725 an hour you get your money's worth. My job is to deliver that value and make sure that knowledge is put to use for maximal effect to ALL involved - my customers, myself, and the causes that are dear to my heart.

Sincerely,

Perry Marshall

Get Rich Fast?...or Get Rich Slow?

One of the biggest complaints I hear today is about all the 'get rich fast' scams on the Internet. Now I'm sure you've heard about them, or read about them, or maybe you've even laid out your hard earned cash to claim your riches. And you try it for a short while, with little or no results, you stop doing it, and now it has just become a 'scam' in your mind. Of course you'll share these thoughts with anyone that will listen.

With the incredible speed in which everything happens in today's world, I'm here to tell you that, you can get rich faster then ever before, ethically and honestly. Let's look at a couple of examples...

Mark Zuckerberg: launched Facebook from his Harvard dorm room on February 4, 2004. He then dropped out of Harvard and at the age of 23, his net worth is 1.5 Billion. That's FAST!

Mark Cuban: In 1995, Cuban and fellow Indiana University alumnus Todd Wagner started Audionet. It eventually became Broadcast.com in 1998. In 1999 they sold it to Yahoo for $5.9 billion in Yahoo! stock. That's FAST!

And of course that's just a couple of examples, I'm sure you've heard of many more as well.

So just because an opportunity claims that you can 'get rich quick' don't immediately discount its validity. I'm not saying for you to just join in blind faith, you have be comfortable with what ever you are marketing, so you have to do your due diligence in your research, before you join or associate yourself with any company.

So why do so many get labeled as 'scams'? While some are, there are many legitimate opportunities out there that are not...so let's take an honest look at why they seemingly fail and get labeled as 'scams'.

Well...let's look at the real reasons why the program you joined didn't work. For most of the opportunities out there, there are people making a lot of money working with the same company, and using the exact same program, products, strategies and the step by step process laid out. So we can honestly say that...the reason you are failing is not because of the company, it's not the product, it's not the compensation plan, it's not the system. So the only thing it can be...if you're being honest with yourself...is YOU.

***Most people will join because of YOU, the person or leader you are, your reputation, and how you can help them... not because of your company or product***

The fact of the matter is really very simple and straight forward. The main reason you fail to make a lot of money fast is YOU...period. It all starts and end with YOU.

One of the most life changing moments I had was when I heard T. Harv Ecker say 'You not only have to be in the right place at the right time, YOU have to be the RIGHT person, in the right place, at the right time!'

Think about that for a minute. You have to develop, educate, learn and grow as a person and a leader, and become the best you can be, before you can ever hope to start making money, and building yourself a successful business.

Once you realize this concept, and this concept alone, you will never struggle in any area of you life again.

Follow the Problems for Online Success

A well known catch phrase from a popular movie is “follow the money.” For Internet marketing, the best advice is “follow the problem.” The most effective online products are those that address problems.

How to break into Internet marketing. How to lose weight. How to avoid foreclosure in a down market. These are problems that drive people to search engines desperately looking for answers. How do you know what people want and need to know?

You have to research and listen into the online conversations in your niche. Start with keyword research for your topic. Check in with Google Labs and find out what the trend of online interest is based on up to the minute searches. Over days or weeks, you can see when the trend shifts and a new hot topic rises.

Another expanded Google tool, the Google Talk Labs, lets you get involved in conversations about trend topics. You have a chance to interact and possibly influence the conversation. At the same time, you want to drop into several discussion forums that focus on your niche.

Don’t be a lurker, be involved. You can use a different name - just make sure that you contribute to the conversation. Nothing will get you barred from a forum faster than showing up with a sales pitch instead of being a participant.

Once you make several posts and join the conversation, then you earn the right to offer suggestions or recommendations. That’s another reason why you want to use a name other than your own name so that you aren’t obviously recommending your own site. Become an expert in your chosen niche market and you will have people eager to follow you, and get their wallets out to purchase the products and services that you recommend.

When you get a hint of a problem from comments in the forum, be bold and ask, “Does anybody have a good resource for how to . . . ” If no one has a suggestion, there’s a product waiting for you to develop or find in places like ClickBank or Commission Junction.

Remember, you don’t have to develop you own products once you find a problem that needs solving. You can find affiliate programs from the above mentioned. You can also find and purchase re-sell rights to products that allow you to re-sell them and keep 100% of the profits.

You can also get a feel for problems by scanning major blogs like Technorati and Boing Boing. Subscribe to blogs that are popular with followers of your niche interest. Chances are they will comment on those blogs.

If you find that there’s a product to address the problem, take a look at it. What can you do to improve, simplify, expand or add a new twist to that answer? Is it a high priced product? Then you need to develop something at a slightly lower price point.

Is it too cheap and vague? That’s your cue to add more substance, get endorsements from reviewers and position your product as the premium solution. Millions are made online by solving simple problems where the public is using the ‘net to find a solution.

Web Video University Course Review

The course, Web Video University by Dave Kaminski claims to have you creating professional web videos, that produce more sales, in 4 weeks or less, with no experience required. Even if you don't own a video camera! Well I'd like to share my results with you...and remember this when your reading, I have absolutely Zero experience in creating videos online.

Dave teaches everything in video tutorials, which is just like getting 1 on 1 professional, personalized training. The great thing, there are no class rooms, no traveling...you can learn from the comfort of your own home, anytime you want...day or night. Dave also gives you email access to answer any questions along the way.

Only 2 weeks through the course and I have already made my first video, without my own camera, without previous experience. Just following along, step by step with Dave. I would watch Dave explain a lesson, I would pause it, then I'd go to my video project and implement what I just learned, it was very easy and rewarding!

It's my 1st one, but it's not to bad I must say. You can view it at the end of this post

I found that Dave really puts some crazy technical terms,(terms I've never heard of before) in a way that anyone, and I mean anyone, can understand. He also has a great resource section at the end of each unit, where you can go get the tools required to practice and carry out what was just taught.

No only does Dave show you how to create a web video, but he also teaches you the techniques that make a web video a sales machine. He shares the insider tips and secrets of successful videos. From the lighting, backgrounds, special effects, length of scenes and so much more I can't possibly tell you all of it in this review.

I know I've looked into pricing to have someone create a video for my sites, ranging from $2000 - $6000...for a single video! There's no way everyone can afford that, so I went looking for an alternative. Dave offers 2 courses, the Basic & the Premium. With both you'll also receive...the following bonus items: 13 animated video backgrounds from MotionLoops.com, 75 royalty-free music tracks and 2,500 royalty-free sound effects. Together, these bonus items are worth $438.55. Prices for the Basic and Premium are listed at the end of this post.

I don't write reviews or endorse every product I come across or even use everyday, but I can honestly tell you that the Web Video University Course is worth several thousands of dollars, just for the material and tools, not to mention the thousands in added sales you'll be getting when you put them into practice on your own website or blog.

I really can't believe how inexpensive it is for the value Dave gives you. I would highly recommend this course, without hesitation or regrets.

I know that web videos are the hottest thing on the Internet right now, and will only increase in the future. Check out some of these stats:

- An estimated 1 billion dollars will be spent on video ads in this year. By 2011, that number will climb to at least 4.3 billion dollars.

- 65% of online surfers will view video advertisements to their completion (less than 20% read "text only" sites to completion).

- 68% of people who watch online videos, will in turn, pass links for these videos onto their friends...turning them into viral traffic machines.

- the cost to have a web commercial professionally created for your site now averages between $2,000-$3000…per minute! No kidding.

If I had to tell you about any cons with the course...it would be this. I wish there was a text copy or PDF copy for easy and quick reference. The video tutorials are great, but I found that if I just wanted to go directly to a section, a text version would be the easiest and quickest way to do this. I'm sure it could be included as an add on feature to original course, at a slight upcharge.

In my search for a course designed to teach anyone, regardless of experience, how to make their own, profit producing web videos, I found Web Video University is first on my list. Thanks Dave for a great product, at an affordable price.
Basic Course $199
Premium Course $397

Review on 'Clic Website Sales Leads System' by Gerry Black

Reviewed by Ron Richardson - Editor - Business Opportunity Newsletter

I have finished reading Gerry Black's eBook, 'CLIC Website Sales Leads System' Gerry Black is a field proven American Writers and Artists trained copywriter and also has a successful 20-year sales and marketing career.

A report he wrote called “The #1 Website Mistake That Could be Costing You Clients” will be featured in an upcoming book by best-selling author Bob Bly – the man McGraw-Hill calls "America's top copywriter."

I have read 100's of eBooks over the years, and not always, but usually learn something from each and every one...including this one. Gerry show's you, in 4 easy steps, how to attract more website visitors, and convert more of them to paying lifetime customers.

I found that Gerry's writing style, and explanation of strategies, very easy to understand, and more importantly, easy to implement. Starting off with the essential basics for a successful site, and offering answers to the common mistakes that people make.

In chapter 3, 'What Your Web Visitors Want' Gerry tells you the 7 questions your web visitors need answers to when they visit your site. I found that I can build a successful converting site, or squeeze page using only this chapter. From my headline to the rest of my sales copy just by answering those 7 questions.

The eBook also digs into some SEO, creating headlines that will grab you readers attention and ad copies that hold their attention. Also why your company, product or service is not as important as what benefits it will produce for your readers, and how to convey them to your readers.

I found this a very easy and enjoyable read. Although some of what I read, I already practice, I still learned some great strategies that I'm implementing now.

Gerry puts it in simple terms that are easy to understand, even for a newbie, and easy to implement. But no matter where you are in your online marketing career, 'newbie' to 'expert,' you will learn some valuable tips and strategies that will help.

Even if your promoting an affiliate program, you can use these strategies to build a loyal list of future life time customers.

In short, I would highly recommend this system to anyone wishing to build a high converting customer focused website, or those that wish to improve their current site.

It really is a proven 4 step system, that anyone can read in about an hour, and start implementing as soon as their done reading.

If you're tired of your website sucking money out of your pockets, and want to turn it into a automated sales person that produces results, then 'Clic Website Sales Leads System' is a must read. It should be in every serious online marketers resource tool box.

5 Deadly Ad Copy Mistakes

Are you making any of these blunders in your ad copy? If you are, then that is probably why you're getting, no traffic, no leads, no sales & no success!

There are plenty more mistakes that people are making, but I think that if you only tweak these 5, you'll have a higher converting site, that makes money.

1) Poor Headline - You only have about 8-10 seconds to grab, and keep your viewer. Let your headline solve potential customers biggest problem. Give them the biggest benefit they'll receive if they purchase your product or service. ie...'Knock 5 strokes off you golf score in 7 days'

2) No Video or Audio - Video and audio are all the rage on the Internet today, and growing. Most people would rather listen or watch as you tell them how your product or service is going to help them. You don't have know all the technical stuff to get it done. With all the shortcuts available, you could have a professional web video up and running in hours...even if you don't own a video camera and don't know the first thing about putting a video together.

This is one that I'm currently reviewing at the time of this post...and I think it's one of the best I've ever seen. Web Video University

3) No Guarantees - With all the crap that's out there today, people are unsure who to trust. Take all the pressure off by offering an 'unconditional no questions asked money back guarantee' You could also offer your product or service as a 15 or 30 day trial, then after that time period, they will get billed.

4) No Urgent Call to Action - Make sure they know that there is a time limit on the current pricing. Or that the bonuses included will only be available for the next 7 days. You can also offer limited quantities to a membership type site, or for your personal coaching. Make sure that you tell them exactly where to click and sign up, as well, keep it simple. Don't make them jump through hoops or they will click away.

5) The Bonuses - Any offer you find today is usually accompanied with a ton of bonuses, worth 100's or 1000's of dollars. If someone is in the market for your product, they will shop around for the most attractive offers. Make your bonuses stand out, make them very high quality and of great value for you customer. This can also be called your USP - Unique Selling Proposition - It's telling your customer 'why' they should buy from you, and why your different form your competition.

Like I said, these are only 5, but a very important 5 mistakes being made all the time. If your ad copy is lacking in any of these areas, fix them, then test them, and fix them again if need be.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to write a good compelling ad copy...but you do have to take the time to learn what makes a good ad copy.

I'll be posting a review on an eBook that I'm reviewing called 'CLIC Website Sales Leads System' which claims to have a proven 4 step system, that anyone can do, to convert lookers into buyers. More on that to come.

A Great Recorded Call from Perry Marshall

I just received an email from Perry Marshall. Perry recorded the call that you can listen to by clicking the link below.

Very enlightening I must say...it will really opened up your eyes...guaranteed!

=====================================================================================

Ron,

I had a great call on Thursday night with John Paul Mendocha.

We talked about all the delusions that entrepreneurs - and wanna-be entrepreneurs - fall into, the snake oil salesmen we fall for, the rose colored sunglasses that we willingly put on, the pink koolaid we drink.

On this call we kill a bunch of sacred cows. A fun jam session, and I got some raves about it via email the next day. Here's where you can download the MP3:

Enjoy this one.

Limited Knowledge - Budget - Resources - Sound Familiar?

When I first started out, trying to make money online, like a lot of people I'm sure, I had a limited budget, limited resources and limited knowledge. This is where just about everyone starts out...but it's only the start.

I was once at a T Harv Ecker, Millionaire Mind Intensive Weekend, and he said it this way...'Every master was once a disaster.' He went on to describe that everyone starts out, making mistakes, failing, lacking the proper knowledge, limited budgets and so on.

Why is it then the some go on to become everything they dreamed they would be, and some never make an inch of progress? It really all comes down to the desire and drive to learn all the things necessary to reach their end goal...and NEVER stop learning. Because each new goal you set will be bigger and better then the previous.

When I started, I spent 8-10 hours a day using all the free methods I could find to promote my business...with zero success. zero traffic, zero leads, zero sales...no business.

After finally studying people like T Harv and others, after 5 years of struggle, what I realized was that I needed to be spending that time on growing me as a person, a leader, an expert in my field.

If every new person, and their are millions, that were trying to replace, or supplement their income with their own online/MLM home business, started out by gaining the knowledge first, their chances of success would increase dramatically!

When you realize that not only do you create a life of abundance, you also create a better 'you.' When you see that creating a better 'you' is just as important as creating a bigger bank account...I'd even say that it's MORE important...then you're on your way.

When I realized and acted upon this concept, that's when my entire life changed. As most know, I know make my full time income online, and have been for about 3 years now. Learn first, then take action with the knowledge and repeat.

Perry Marshall: How Much Hype is Too Much?

When you're writing sales copy to different audiences, understand this: some thrive on hype. Others won't tolerate an ounce of it.

In this video Perry Marshall describes the two different mindsets, and how you best serve each one, depending on the audience you're writing to.

Great video, great info!

Twitter Your Way to Instant Traffic

To answer this, you have to make the most of every word. You have to capture attention quickly in each 'tweet' (the Twitter name for a post). Sign up for Twitter and send out notices to your friends and subscribers.

The more people who follow your 'tweets,' the more your following grows as their friends see your profile thumbnail on other people's profile pages and click through to follow you as well. Every time you post a new tweet, each of your followers receives it instantly on their computers or cell phones if they've set it up like that.

Sending regular tweets can help build loyalty among your followers. Don't just send anything, make it count. If you write reviews on electronic games or develop accessories for Avatars, then you want to let your followers know when you have something new for them.

You can develop an almost fanatical group who are so intent on knowing what you have to offer that they hang on your every tweet. For info marketers, this intensity can develop into a loyal group of buyers who respond to your new offerings.

Friends who want to set up a meeting can use tweets to inform everyone of the time and place. You can also send a tweet to direct attention to your latest blog update or lens creation. Remember to save room to add the URL for your site.

This is important for creating interest in your site and developing your brand. Even with a short post, you can set up your identity in a way that draws more followers to your niche. Twitter is a delight to some and baffling to others.

You have to get into it to really get what's happening. Look at other Twitterers and see how many ways they're using tweets to set their brand, establish a persona, show expertise or drive traffic to their sites.

The instant gratification of Twitter is part of its addictive potential. When you choose to Twitter within your field, profession, hobby, sport or business, then you'll see how to dispense an enormous amount of new information rapidly, one Tweet at a time.

Traffic Conversion by Doing the Unexpected

Techniques for traffic conversion are well known in the Internet marketing community, but most that are used are basic. They work well, but not spectacularly. What you need is to find a new twist on traffic conversion.

Perhaps what you need isn’t something different, but a different approach. You might find that taking an unexpected route is just what your site needs to increase buyer response.

Replace “want” with “fear.” Sure it’s great that a viewer wants your product, but desire isn’t as strong as fear. Make your sales copy emphasize the scarcity of the product and how terrible it would be to miss out.

“You can spend hours trying to make those purchased templates look like a custom website but you’re stuck with a few colors and choices. Meanwhile, marketers with XYZ Web Page Super Package are up and running in an hour with the look of expensive graphics.”

Now the reader pictures the competition making money while he’s still fighting with fonts. That’s fear – fear of being left out.

Long sales copy works only if it’s not boring. In an effort to create the typical long sales letter, inexperienced writers just repeat the same information with little variation. This isn’t the time to “do it yourself.”

Professional writers know how to get that same information across in fresh ways so that each section of the sales letter is familiar, yet not repetitious. If you don’t have the skill do to that, then hire a professional copywriter. What you pay for a good sales letter is a direct investment in traffic conversion. Consider it a one-time expense for endless traffic conversion opportunities.

Raise the price. But wait, if sales are falling, why would charging more be better? You may have under-priced your product, which gives it a lower value in the viewer’s perspective. Add another section or package with a second information product.

Change the cover design. Add new delivery options so that a buyer can choose eBook, CD or MP3 audio product formats. These small changes give you a reason to bump up the price. And don’t get chicken by going from $9.95 to $12.95. Take the price up to $17 or $27 and hype the promotion. You can do a limited time discount - “Order now to get the product for $12.95 because in 48 hours, the price goes to $17!”

Make a Limited Time Offer. Create urgency by offering a one time purchase to a limited number of buyers for a short time. This plays to fear (“what if I miss it”) and scarcity (“I want it before someone else gets it”).

Then take it off the market at the end of the offer. Nothing discredits you more than repeated “limited time” runs. Remove the product, make a few changes or updates and add something else to the package. Then - and only then - can you bring back the product without losing face and buyers.

Would You Buy From Him?

I had a gentlemen named Jason call me the first time about 2 weeks ago. He was pitching me on what his company could do for me and my business. Well being the open minded person I am, I said I would take a look when I got home...I was driving at the time. He gave me the site, and we agreed we would talk in 2 days.

I got home and I did review his site. It was an all in one marketing tool box that you could use with affiliate marketing, Ebay, Amazon, Google adwords etc...sort of a step by step guide for learning, and it looked pretty good.

After reviewing it further, and learning what the costs would be every month, I decided against it at the present time. I already had all the tools I needed in place and I didn't see it providing me additional value or income.

He did phone back, and I told him my thoughts, and said I wouldn't be signing up. He proceeded to start and quote me statistics about his company. This went on for about 10-15 minutes. I finally said that I wasn't interested at this time...his last words...'take care' then he just hung up.

Now I ask you, would you go back to this company in the future and sign up for their services? Not me!

Instead of trying to build anything long term, and instead of offering me any value at all, all he was after was the sale...period!

I only thought that he must be calling hundreds or thousands of people a day in order to drive a few dollars into his pocket.

Now if he would have said something like, 'would be alright to call you in 3 months or 6 months, and send you some info via email'...which I would have agreed upon...then maybe I would think about signing up for their services to test them out in the future.

In order to receive, you must first give without any want in return. That is the only way to have people seeking you out, and to continue to have new people going through you sales funnel, eventually turning them into paying, loyal customers for life.

The Lemonade Stand

It's the 4th of October in western Canada...the beginning of fall. Although it's still pretty nice as far as the temperature goes, the leaves are turning, and starting to fall.

I notice that my neighbors kids have set up a lemonade stand next door, something we've all done I'm sure, in our own childhood. I'm sitting on my deck and hear their parents saying that they won't sell anything because it's not hot enough, not enough traffic, not this, not that and so on. The kids simply ignored them and continued setting things up.

Low and behold, they get a customer, then another, then another customer.

In a matter of 15 minutes there must have been 8-10 customers there. They made money that day, and served the needs of their customers.

How you ask? Two girls standing on the corner with signs that offered lemonade at 5 cents a glass, then they sold them cookies at a $1 per...needless to say, with a bag containing about 24 cookies, they did OK.

It's very similar to one of the most successful business models ever, McDonalds. Get them in with the cheap burgers, then upsell with the drinks and stuff that have a huge profit margin. Crazy that some 9 and 10 year olds are using the same model.

People like Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Ray Croc, etc...have the mindset of 'anything is possible' and only listen to those that they gain knowledge and strength from.

Why is it then, when we, as adults, try and start our own home based/internet business, we tend to listen more to those around us...family and friends...that say we can't do it, we can't make money doing that, won't work etc...

Develop the 'knowledge' of an adult mind, and the 'anything's possible and creativity' mindset that we had when we were kids, we would never listen to anyone tell us that 'we can't do that' ever again.

Online Marketing Is Customer Centered

An old adage in sales is that “the customer is always right.” Over the years as retailer grew large, profit margins faded and experienced salespeople grew scarce, there seemed to be less interest in the customer.

People grudgingly accepted the lack of customer service as the price they paid for cheap products. They complained, but they bought anyway because that’s just the way it was. Online shopping, while distant, is more customer centered than many local retailers.

To develop a rapport with customers in a virtual environment, online marketers had to establish trust and expertise, and they did it with relationship building, money back guarantees plus fast delivery. This customer-centered approach not only created trust as planned, but also caused a surprising number of customers to ignore the local stores and shop at major retailers’ online sites.

As a developing Internet marketer, you can learn from this brief history. You want to position your product as user friendly, beneficial and open for refund. Granted, this is easier with downloads and information products than with shipped products.

But even shipped products that offer guaranteed, no questions asked refunds actually have fewer refunds because the consumer feels free to try to return it if they’re not satisfied. Before the sale, you want to provide ample information about the product and the benefits that your customer will receive from it…ie. save time, money and effort etc - including several photo or video views if appropriate.

Think about the questions a buyer might ask and have the answers ready before the question arrives. An easy way to provide this information is with an expanded FAQ (frequently asked questions) page. Make sure there’s a link to the FAQ page from each product page.

If your product requires assembly after delivery, post an extra copy of how to assemble it. Even better is to post a video showing and telling how to do the assembly. Another great idea is to post videos showing alternative ways to use the product. This gives buyers options that they might not have considered.

To be consumer-centered means that you can be reached easily. Post your email (or that of your customer service center) and a phone number or SKPYE name. If you are the “Customer service center,” send those emails to a designated email box and answer them promptly.

If you can’t, at least set up an autoresponder saying that you received the customer’s email and are working on the solution. The more ways you can be contacted, the more the customer feels at ease that you aren’t hiding in some unreachable corner of cyberspace. You can’t shake hands with your online customer, but you can create an ongoing buying relationship by demonstrating that you’re a customer-centered and an expert in your field online marketer.

Rich Dad / Poor Dad Event

I just spent the afternoon, along with a good friend of mine, at a Fast Track to Cash Flow event. It's facilitator is a guy by the name of Darren Weeks from Edmonton, AB. Canada, who does a fantastic job.

I love these events and attend as many as I can. The way I see it, even if I only learn one or two new things that I can use in my own business, it's well worth it.

He teaches the philosophies of Robert Kiyosaki of the Rich Dad / Poor Dad fame...and his recent book written with Donald Trump, 'We Want You To BE Rich'

Their mission - ‘To Elevate the Financial Well-Being of Humanity’

They teach the way rich people think, invest, take action etc, as opposed to poor or middle class.

The majority of us (me included) were told to get a good education, get a good job, and retire with that company. That investing and getting a high ROI (return on investment)was risky.

The fact of the matter at this present time is that the risk is having a job, what with all the closures, downsizing, the China factor, etc...

So I pose this question to you all and let you ponder it for a while...why do you continue to listen to people who are not successful investors or business people.

Why do let your family, friends and others determine whats right, whats wrong, what's a risk, what works, what doesn't.

If you want what the wealthy have, if you want to be where they are, then find a successful mentor, one that's been down the road, and follow what he did, and does on a daily basis.

If you want something bad enough, and you take daily action towards your goal, then NOTHING & NO ONE will get in your way...period!

Here's the links for Fast Track To Cash and Rich Dad websites.

Social Bookmarking to Grab Attention Online

Social bookmarking is the electronic version of leaving a breadcrumb trail. After all, you can have a great product, but without enough traffic, it’s just another nice site. Even if you have a faithful marketing list, you constantly want to reach new online viewers.

The options for connecting with social bookmarkers are exploding. That’s why you need to surf around and see what’s out there, then set up a series of “regular” social bookmarking accounts to use.

StumbleUpon is one of the leading social bookmarking sites that’s both easy to use and powerful. Once you create an account, you can add the toolbar interface. Then all you do is click the Thumbs Up icon to recommend a site. You can do this for your own sites, or ask your friends to submit a Thumbs Up rating for you. Besides the rating, you can add comments about the site.

Can you Digg it? That’s not just a line from a 70s movie - it’s a widely used social bookmarking site. Digg functions much like Stumble Upon with raters given the chance push the ratings of a site to the front page. Making it to the front page of Digg gets your information in front of thousands of viewers and it helps traffic flood in to read your newsworthy submission.

Clipmarks describes itself as “scissors for web pages.” As with other social bookmarking sites, you can submit items that are sent to the web - including to Facebook or to an iPhone. As a one stop service and huge time saver, sign up with OnlyWire.

You begin by installing a plugin for your browsers, and then you only need a single click to submit your item to multiple sites. To make this work, you still need to sign up at bookmarking sites that you plan to use. After that, you can use OnlyWire to handle the multiple submissions.

Make sure your site viewers know how to rate your site. You can’t reward or bribe them for bookmarking your site. That’s the social bookmarking version of stuffing the ballot box at voting time.

You can put links to the bookmarking sites on your sites as a gentle reminder. And don’t be shy about submitting your new information to the networks yourself – just make sure you also submit other sites so that you don’t appear spammy. Let people know what you’ve got and where to find your site and they’ll share that information with others.

What Does ‘Financially Free’ Mean to You?

We have all heard the term, ‘Financially Free’ but what does it actually mean to you. You see, everyone is in a different stage in their life, and business and therefore, every answer would be different.

I attended a seminar put on by T. Harv Eker, called ‘The Millionaire Mind Intensive’…and it was just that, Intensive! I heard the best definition about what it really means to be ‘Financially Free’

T. Harv, who by the way, went from 0 to a millionaire in 2.5 years, said it like this…

’To be ‘Financially Free’ you need to be able to live the lifestyle you desire, without having to rely on anyone else (welfare, unemployment, hand outs or charity)’

But the key is that the income must be passive. What ever business system you set up, it must be able to run without you. That’s why the Internet and the technology is so appealing to most, because you can have a system run on autopilot for the most part, and bring in passive income every month.

To be financially free means that there is enough, or more then enough, passive money coming in every month, then what is going out (being paid).

If you add up your out going payments every month and they total $3000, and that amount allows you to live the life style you desire, then that’s all you need to be ‘Financially Free’

Being ‘Financially Free’ also allows you to have the time freedom that is lacking for the vast majority of peoples lives around the world today. If you ask most that have achieved ‘Financial Freedom’ they may tell you that the time freedom, that comes with, is just as important as the money.

Think about your own situation right now...how much would need? Once you have a dollar amount to get you to your desired life style, work back and map out what you have to do every, hour, day, week, month and year. Find money making systems - work smarter, not harder -

What you have to realize is that you can start to build your ‘Financial Freedom,’ day by day, week by week and so on, even if you have a regular 9-5 job right now.

What if you only worked on your 'Financial Freeedom' for 1 hour per night, 5 days a week, and it took you 2 years to succeed...would that be worth it?

2 years is not a long time, and will go by regardless of what you do or don't do! So you can take action starting today...or not.

It won’t happen over night…unless you win the lottery…so be patient and consistent and keep building those passive money making machines.

Please leave a comment and let me know what your definition of being ‘Financially Free’ is.

"3 Easy Ways to Attract Love Like A Magnet" by Cucan Pemo

This an article written by Cucan Pemo about atracting love in your life. It's funny how this method is responsible for everything you attract in your life, health, wealth and happiness!

If you are still single and yearning for that someone special to come into your life, to share your life, and to share all the laughter and joy of being together, there is something you could do to attract your true love like a magnet!

(1)You must believe you are able to attract true love.

This is important! In order to attract your true love, not just any type of lovers, to come into your life, you have to believe you are able to attract the right person into your life. True love comes to you not because of chance. Instead, it comes to you because of who you are. It comes 'through' you, it does not come to you. You attract the people in your life because of who you are.

If you are someone who is always cheery, generous, kind, and hardworking, then it is very likely you will attract people who have one or more of your positive attributes. Whoever you attract into your lives is a reflection of who you are at that moment. Thus if you are someone who is always doubtful of your own ability and capability to meet the right person, then it is very likely you will attract the wrong person into your life!

(2)Love others who come into your life at this moment.

Being loving to others is perfect love, not just wanting love. Open up your heart and give your love to others as well while you are waiting for your someone special to enter your life. When you open up and give more love, more love will return and be given you too. This is the law of give and receive. When you go outside and socialize, do not go with the intention of only wanting to find love, or to find your Mr/Mrs Right. Instead, take an interest in all those that you encounter, be aware of their welfare and needs as well.

If you start to take an interest in other people's welfare and needs instead of only your own, more people will be attracted to you. So, detach yourself from the feeling that you want to find that someone special. The right person will definitely come to you one day and be attracted to you because of who you are. He or she might must be around in a corner thinking : "Hey, I want to get to know this person who has so much magnetism and optimism. How can I approach him/her?"

(3)Expect less from other people and give more instead.

As you give more and more love to others, be careful not to become too much focused on your own wants and needs. In wanting or expecting to experience the love we want, we suffer. We crave, and we cling to what we do not have and we even refuse to let go what we have clung to. Your giving should not come with any conditions.

Instead, the love you give should want less and less. As your love wants less and less, ironically you will find more love coming your way, even without you asking for it.

Give true love, so that it opens up and embrace the world. Very soon, you will find that someone special entering your life. It is not by chance that this person has entered your life, but you have cultivated the 'seeds' to bring him/her to you, not just any type of person, but the right and true one for you. And after he/she has entered your life, continue to cultivate even more 'seeds' of love for everyone around you, and you will find that you can easily create the 'magical' relationship that you desire effortlessly.

Secrets of a Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker - Book Review

T. Harv Ekers best selling book, 'Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth' digs down deep to the root cause of your money problems...or lack of money problems.

Just their are 'outer' laws of money,(business knowledge, money management, investment strategies, etc...) their also must be 'inner' laws. He gets you to look inside your own thoughts about money, and teaches you how to change them, calling this 'your money blueprint'

Your results will only start to change when 'your money blueprint' changes.

Not only did this book change the way I looked at money, but also improved every aspect of my life. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

If you've ever struggled with money issues, T. Harv gives you the opportunity to change it once and for all!

I also attended T. Harvs Millionaire Mind Intensive Weekend in Vancouver, and it's just that, Intensive! The cost to attend is $2590 per person, but the best thing is that if you purchase the book, he'll throw in 2 tickets for FREE. When you attend be prepared for a life changing weekend!

Here's an editorial...

Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly

Eker's claim to fame is that he took a $2,000 credit card loan, opened "one of the first fitness stores in North America," turned it into a chain of 10 within two and a half years and sold it in 1987 for a cool (but somewhat modest-seeming) $1.6 million.

Now the Vancouver-based entrepreneur traverses the continent with his "Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar," on which this debut motivational business manual is based.

What sets it apart is Eker's focus on the way people think and feel about money and his canny, class-based analysis of broad differences among groups. In rat-a-tat, "Let me explain" seminar-speak, Eker asks readers to think back to their childhoods and pick apart the lessons they passively absorbed from parents and others about money.

With such psychological nuggets as "Rich people focus on opportunities/ Poor people focus on obstacles," Eker puts a positive spin on stereotypes, arguing that poverty begins, or rather, is allowed to continue, in one's imagination first, with actual material life becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

To that end, Eker counsels for admiration and against resentment, for positivity, self-promotion and thinking big and against wallowing, self-abnegation and small-mindedness.

While much of the advice is self-evident, Eker's contribution is permission to think of one's financial foibles as a kind of mental illness—one, he says, that has a ready set of cures.

And here's what -Brian Tracy, author of ‘Getting Rich Your Own Way’
had to say:

“This is the most powerful, persuasive, and practical
seminar on becoming wealthy you will ever attend. It
is loaded with ideas, insights, and strategies that will change
you thinking and your results forever.”

Does This Sound Familiar?

Well I found out that I'm having some company stay over for the night this weekend...a friend from Calgary, AB. and my brother from Salmon Arm, BC.

So I figured I should give my place a good cleaning...being single it doesn't always get done on a regular basis, I'm getting better though.

But after I finished I felt great, like I really accomplished something. I'm just wondering why it takes people staying over to get it done?

It's kind of the same when people get into their own business. They do a few things here and there, enough to get by. But if you have someone that will be looking over your work, and forming an impression, it motivates you to get things done, and done correctly.

This brings me to the point of having a personal business coach or mentor. If you need someone to be evaluating, looking at your work, and giving the push you need, then a personal coach will be a wise investment.

Heck, now a days you can find some experienced, successful marketers that are willing to mentor and coach you for free. They do this by giving you great value for free, in hopes that in the future you will become a paying customer. And hey, if they know what they're doing, and it's working for you, then why wouldn't you become a customer?

Have You Found Your Purpose Life?

A friend and I were talking the other day about ‘Our purpose in life.’ We both had opposite views on the subject, his being that we do not have a purpose, and me, well I believe that we all have a purpose on this planet.

Do you believe that you are put on the planet for a reason?

What's your purpose...have you found it yet? Maybe your purpose is to be just where you are right now...but are you happy?... if your not then how can it be that be true.

Maybe our purpose in life is to keep looking for a purpose, and therefore creating a perpetual cycle that never ends.

Keep in mind, continuous learning is essential for growth, maturity and success.

There is an endless supply of great information out there, and with the internet, it is so easy to access. There is an endless supply of people out there willing to share their beliefs…some very well respected people.

The one key ingredient that I discovered with every one of the motivational / educational speakers I’ve heard and seen is simply their ability to enrich or improve the lives of others, with out holding their hand out for something in return.

I love the way Mike Dillard put it ‘You must give - without want – before you can have’

That is the core element in achieving great success, not only financially, but in every single area of your life.

For the most part, we are more intelligent now then ever before...and ten years from now we’ll have surpassed our present. We can use it for good, or bad...or not at all! We can improve every aspect of our lives, if we choose, or simply to ignore it.

It’s much easier being a failure in life, for that you really don’t have to do anything at all!

What if you could improve just 1% every day? Better yet, what if you could improve someone else’s life by just 1%? Or 1000’s of other peoples lives by just 1%?

The more lives you improve – starting with you – the greater reward and satisfaction you will receive. But it all starts with you!

If you get nothing else from this…get this 'if we are not improving...we are declining, if we are not growing...we are dying' and when I say we, I mean every single one of us on planet Earth!

Tired Of The Old School Network Marketing Techniques?

I had written a short review last week about Magnetic Sponsoring. I am having great results using the system, and I feel I must share it again.

It really is life changing in the way you'll look at building your business, and more importantly, the way you will make money in your business.

Well here's the way my, and I'm sure most of you are trying to build your business currently...If your struggling in getting more leads, sponsoring distributors and getting more sales...please read.

Are you tired of the old school network marketing techniques? You know the 3 foot rule, hanging fliers, bugging your family and friends, and holding hotel meetings.

I know that when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. I was told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money.

I was only faced with questions I wasn't able to answer, getting hung up on, and faced with nothing but rejection.

When I was officially shunned by everyone that I knew, all my upline told me to do was to go out and buy some opportunity leads.

This only led me to some more rejection and spending a bunch of money.

Now I was out of money, and had nothing to show for it.

Then just as I was going to give up, I found what I consider to be the "life saver" for my business.

This life saver I speak of was Mike Dillard's 7 Day Free Video Boot Camp.

In these 7 free videos Mike explained how I could attract an endless stream of prospects to me ready to join and actually get paid to prospect.

These videos have really changed the way I do my business, and I think they can help you too.

The Main Determining Factor Between Success and Failure

It always amazes me when people who are struggling, and living from paycheck to paycheck, in a job they hate, unhappy and complaining constantly, aren't willing to change their daily actions, but expect that somehow their results or circumstances will change.

Your current situation is a direct result of your past actions...or lack there of.

Your past actions are a direct result of your past thoughts and mindset. Until that changes, there will be no positive changes in your present reality.

Don't think you're going to change it all in a day or a week. What you need to realize is that nothing changes until you change your mind!

You also have to realize is that you only have to improve ever so slightly, every single day, in order to improve your results. If only improve 1% per day...you've improved 365% in only one year...that would change your results!

Remember this: 'Every master was once a disaster'. That's a quote from T. Harv Ecker, author of the No 1 national bestselling book, 'Secrets of a Millionaire Mind'.

He says this not to discourage or intimidate you, but rather to tell you that even the best of the best, in any any field, had to start at the beginning.

Back when Donald Trump was going through his tough times, and eventually lost everything, his entire fortune, he could have given up. He didn't! He fell down and got back up and continued forward. He had the mindset of a Billionaire, and therefore, anything less would not be good enough. He soon had his fortune back, plus much more.

Even after he had made millions of dollars and had great success, Donald Trump had to start at the beginning. But because he had the mindset and thoughts he did, which led to the daily action, he was soon on top again.

When you change your mindset and your thoughts, and focus on your end goal, your daily actions will change as well, guiding you down the right path. This and this alone is the first step and main determining factor between success and failure.

Increasing Your Wealth

While we are all looking for increased wealth…we ultimately need to increase the wealth of others first, before we can attain our own. And by doing so in this order, and only this order, will you build a self sustaining, perpetual machine.

I remember a network marketing company I was with in the late 90’s. A coworker and friend, that I had helped in the past, approached me. I told him about it, and he signed up that day, and paid his membership for a year.

I ended up signing up 2 others that day, which I had not approached. It was a good day for me back then.

Now that I look back, that was my first connection with attraction marketing. I had not approached any of them with my business or its products. I built relationships with them over a period of time, and had assisted each of them in various ways in the past…not expecting anything in return.

You have to enrich the lives of others, without want, before you can have. And the only way to do that, is to invest in yourself first.

Convince Your Mind...and the Rest Is Easy

Your mind (conscious, subconscious, thoughts) is the single biggest factor in determining whether you will struggle through life, or live a life full of abundance.

When you have convinced your mind 'what' the outcome 'will be' then it has no other choice but to take you down the right path every time. Once your mind is convinced, the proper actions will follow...there is no other option.

In our universe there are things we don't, and maybe never understand...and maybe we don't need to understand.

Let me ask you this: when you get into your car, you turn the key and it starts, 100% of the time (on a sound vehicle). Do you think to yourself before turning the key...I hope there's power from the battery, to turn the starter, to crank the engine over, and hope the sparkplugs fire to drive the pistons and on and on...No, because you know that, when you turn the key, you will get to your destination 100% of the time. You don't have to understand how every single thing works.

Think of your mind as the key, when you turn it on, focus on where you want to go, you get there 100% of the time...there is no other option.

Just like wanting to run in a marathon, first you must convince your mind that it can be done, then you start the training and necessary action so you can reach your end goal of running in a marathon.

For some it may take a week, a month, 6 months, or even years. Same goes with your business, some succeed faster then others. Just because one person takes a month, and another takes a year, it doesn't mean that the person that took a year is any less of a success then the person that only took a month...they both ended up reaching their goals.

When you finally decide to start with you, and changing your mind thoughts, then you will not only change your world, but also the world of all those around you.

Your Burning Desires - It All Starts with You!

No matter what you want to do in your life, what you want to accomplish, you would agree, that it all starts with you…period!

Sure there are other factors and influences involved, but if you decide you want something bad enough, you will always find a way to get it.

I was 12 and wanted a new ball glove. I didn’t have the money, but even back then I didn’t say ‘I can’t afford that’ instead I said ‘HOW can I afford that’ and within a few days I collected enough pop bottles to buy my glove.

When your burning desire is so great that it is literally embedded in your mind, then there are no other options, you will find a way to succeed.

I’ll share with you another experience that I had a few years back when I was an adult.

A friend approached me, he had just gone through one of those ‘no money down’ real estate courses, and he wanted to partner up and start flipping houses. I wasn’t happy in my job as a dairy manager in a grocery store, so I thought yea, lets do it.

We had no extra money, no experience, couldn’t get a mortgage for another house, so we started with Zero…Well I started placing ads in Real Estate networks on the web and low and behold I received a call the next day. After faxing back and forth, within an hour we had both signed a simple one page contract of the terms and conditions.

The next week we found, and purchased a house…a fixer upper for sure. Our investor, whom we’d never met, sent down a cheque – in trust to our lawyer – for the full purchase price.

Well it ended up that my partner was not willing to follow through to the end, so we parted ways. I finished renovating the house, sold it, split the profits with my investor and made about $20,000 in 3 months…not bad seeing as how I started with Zero, just a burning desire!

I tell you this, not to impress you, but to impress upon you, that once you set your mind to something, once you have a burning desire, and once you just get started, things seem to magically happen that get you to your end goal…but it’s not really magic, that’s just how powerful your brain is. I believe more powerful then any computer on the entire planet.

It won’t all be roses and glory along the way, but that’s part of the learning and growing that you’ll have to go through if you wish to reach your goal.

Attempting and failing at something is not failure. Continuing to attempt the same things, and expect different results, that’s failure.

It all starts with you and your desire, and the value you bring to the table. The more value, the easier success will be.

My investor was attracted to me because I was able to give him a good Return on Investment (ROI) which is what every investor is looking for. I was attracted to him because he was able to supply the capital needed for me to reach my goal.

Understand that it all starts with you…period! By adding value to you, and then those around you, you can achieve any goal that you set for yourself.

I've Just Read Magnetic Sponsoring...

Well I received and read Magnetic Sponsoring yesterday (Sept 2/08) ...and what an interesting, eye opening great read. It starts from of a point that really makes so much sense, if we look at the other aspects in life.

Those athletes that get paid the most, well they are generally the best in their field. Tiger Woods, A-Rod, Kobe Bryant, Sydney Crosby (soon will) and I could go on.

Those that are the best in the business world...Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, the founders of Goggle, Yahoo, Walmart, Amazon and so on get paid the most because their the best in their field period.

If you look at it from that perspective, then those in their chosen business or industry that perform the best, probably get paid the best. They have the knowledge and training system that they follow on a daily basis.

So from a network marketing point of view, we really should not be surprised when we bring people into the business, and 95-97% fail and spend more then they make. They lack the proper knowledge and training system to succeed.

The only way to change it is first:

-- increase your own knowledge and value that you can bring to the table to help them in their marketing and building a successful business...people want someone to lead them.

-- Educate and introduce them to a system that solves their biggest problems in Network Marketing...cold calling, bugging family and friends, hotel meetings, the 3 foot rule and I could go on.

It's a mandatory read for anyone that I work with...I had a feeling it would be just from the videos.

Mikes put out a Free 7 Video Bootcamp that is also a must watch.
